MUA
Most of my working days so far have been in retail cosmetics. Although I have performed many makeovers within each job, I didn't realized how much I enjoyed makeup artistry until doing makeup for a few photoshoots recently.
While in Dallas, my friend pursued taking photos for a few modeling agencies in town. As he was getting more into the gig, he asked if we could collaborate. I was so excited to get on board!
I enjoyed receiving creative direction from the photographer, and being able to add my own esthetic to each look. It was satisfying to help bring the photographer's vision to life. Checkout my MUA portfolio for examples of my work during these shoots. (I worked with hair on all of these assignments as well).
For everyday wearable looks, I view makeup as a tool to enhance feature and not to cover them up. But then there are instances where more of an exaggerated look is necessary, which is fun and challenging. I look forward to any future makeup artistry opportunities!
